FERRUM FURNITURE & DESIGN was founded in 2020 as a result of a long conquered dream to design and manufacture furniture with an industrial, robust and raw look.

Our products are built to last for generations, are all handcrafted and made out of steel combined with timber. We use reclaimed timber where we can. Welds are untreated and exposed which give our products their unique industrial look and feel.

ABOUT ME
My name is Frank van Assema and I grew up in the Netherlands and moved to Australia in 2007. Holding a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering I've worked as an industrial maintenance engineer for many years.

I founded FERRUM FURNITURE & DESIGN in 2020 as a result of a long conquered dream to start my own business in designing and manufacturing furniture with a robust, industrial and raw look.
​
I live in the Perth Hills with my wife and three kids and I love the outdoors, camping, mountain biking and windsurfing.
